ABOUT 8T
Est. 1999
Working for the Department of Defence from 1991 to 2000,
finishing up in Electronic Warefare section of the Comms Dept.
​
Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Communication Electronics.
Majoring in Tube Amp design & DSP coding & hardware implementation.
Completed with Honours.
​
Spent the 90's honing my guitar repair skills and learning electronics.
​
Taking my first customers in 2000,
also started working with Belman Guitars during this time.
​
Spent 7 years at Belman Guitars covering every aspect of guitar building from sanding and shaping
a neck, putting in frets, making the pickups, buffing and doing all 3D CAD/CAM & running the
CNC machine, to help make the finest guitars Australia has ever produced.
​
Building & operating from a self contained shop in Sunshine North with the ability to perform all manner of
repair from guitar electronics, fret work, painting, amplifier repair, design & modification.
​
Touring Guitar Tech duties and emergency tour repair services for some of the largest acts
travelling the planet.
I've had the fortune to work in many countries on many stages from Cherry Bars "Cherry Rock" stage
all the way to main stage for "Rock in Rio" in Portugal.
